MLA - Academic Libraries Summit Call for Poster Proposals

Michigan Library Association
Academic Libraries Summit,  May 20, 2016
Lansing, Michigan

We’re interested in thoughtful poster proposals on topics concentrated on providing service to our library patrons. Today’s environment of ubiquitous information and changing user habits presents the academic library community with an opportunity to refine and define the kinds of user-focused services we offer that help to attract and retain our users.

Examples of poster focus could include:
•             Recent service-orientated projects at your library
•             Service focused staff development programs at your institution
•             Assessment for service needs on your campus
•             Innovative ways of collecting patron feedback
•             Completing the assessment loop on service needs

Broad participation in this call is encouraged from librarians, staff and administrators from all types of academic libraries (including but not limited to public universities, private colleges and community colleges).

Poster proposals should include a description of no more than 300 words. Poster proposals will be evaluated on relevance to academic library profession, originality and creativity, and clarity/applicability of content and outcomes.

Please submit your poster proposal by February 12, 2016.  Submitters will be contacted about the status of the proposed poster by March 4, 2016.
